Summary

Jean Parish has enjoyed a 30-year career in music and arts management, primarily managing operations and touring for major American orchestras including the St. Louis Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, and most recently as the General Manager of the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Holding a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from St. Olaf College, and a Masters of Music degree in choral conducting from the University of South Florida, she is currently the Director of College Relations for Music Organizations at St. Olaf College, her alma mater, where she continues her work supporting music, the liberal arts, and students.

Jean and her husband Doug have 3 internationally adopted children: Zoe (18) from China at age 11 months; Ben (10) from Korea at age 14 months; and Owen (5) from Korea, adopted at age 3. They were one of the founding families of Yinghua Academy, Minneapolis, serving on the originating school and parent board(s). They have traveled the world and value diversity and multiculturalism. They remain actively involved in a number of non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities and beyond. Their first introduction to the Adoption Medical Clinic was in 2000 when the referral of their daughter was reviewed by Dr. Dana Johnson, and they have been deeply grateful for the subsequent reviews by Dr. Eckerle and the tremendous resource found in the AMC. Jean is thrilled to be able to lend her support and help in any way possible to the invaluable work of Dr. Eckerle and the clinic.
